Chloe and Conor’s special day was an exquisite celebration held at the stunning Lapstone Barn in the heart of Chipping Campden. The picturesque venue provided the perfect backdrop for their joyous union. Surrounded by rolling green fields and nestled within the charming Cotswold countryside, Lapstone Barn was the perfect location for their wedding party. I’m getting ahead of myself though. Let’s start with the ceremony.
St James’ Church Chipping Campden
The reception was a fun affair, filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches, and delectable cuisine. Throughout the evening, the newlyweds and their loved ones danced the night away on the spacious dance floor. I loved their use of props. It was full of energy and continued until I left!
The ceremony took place at the magnificent St James Church, located just a stone’s throw away from the barn. The historic church, with its towering spire and grand architecture, added a touch of grandeur to the occasion. It’s history, both within the town of Chipping Campden but also with me is long-standing. I visited the Church many times in my previous career and this visit only brought back great memories.
The couple exchanged heartfelt vows, witnessed by their nearest and dearest. Chloe & Conor brought so much warmth to the day and any unintentional hitch such as Chloe getting her veil caught on the pew during the aisle walk, was seen as nothing more than another fun excperience. She laughed it off, Conor cried – just a bit – and there was a marriage! After the ceremony, we headed to the pathway outside the Church which is long and straight and perfect for confetti as you’ll see below.
Wedding reception at Lapstone Barn
As the festivities moved to Lapstone Barn, guests were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic yet refined interior of the barn creates a unique ambiance. The exposed wooden beams, adorned with delicate fairy lights, cast a soft glow over the space, adding a touch of magic to the evening. The grounds around Lapstone are a highlight and we made sure to make use of them early as it was Chloe & Conor that arrived at the barn first. After a short walk, we headed into the barn to greet the guests.

As Chloe and Conor booked both photography and film for their wedidng day, I delivered a 5 minute highlight film and a ceremony film as well as their images. As the dancefloor was so much fun, I also delivered a separate dancefloor film so they could relive the antics again and again!
Lapstone Photography and Film Review
‘We can’t thank Marcus enough for capturing our Wedding day! From our initial zoom meeting, he made us feel at ease about how he would capture the day and we knew he was the right person for the job! On the day, he was amazing and captured the most beautiful moments and also blended into our day, so much our guests barely noticed him! Our guests had wonderful things to say about how friendly he was. We felt comfortable and were able to be ourselves throughout the day. Everyone has loved the photos and our wedding video brings the day (and happy tears) back every time we watch it! We highly recommend Bigeye Photography. Thank you Marcus!’
There’s another blogpost of a Lapstone wedding on my website as well as a portfolio of some of my favourite images over the last few years.
