A beautifully personalised wedding day
Sarah & Jonny chose Oxleaze Barn near Oxford for their wedding day. Oxleaze is probably one of the most flexible wedding venues I know. They allow you to enjoy your wedding day the way you want it.
Outdoor ceremony at Oxleaze Barn
First up, let’s focus on the fact that the ceremony was outdoors with an incredible arch created by Blue & Boheme. Once the grooms party had arranged everything outside including the flower arch and belts had been gifted by Jonny to his groom squad, some liquid in glasses was drunk… as is tradition!
Even the famous Oxleaze chickens were present to make sure Jonny was set up for the day. Sarah was getting ready in the Dutch barns which are a new addition next to the main ceremony area.
The courtyard was the perfect place for a first look with Sarah’s father, who, like her mum and the bridesmaids may have shed a tear.
The outdoor ceremony was soon filled with guests meeting and chatting during what felt like a mini reception. Lots of laughter, lots of pats on the back and hugs for the groom-to-be. The chickens had been vanquished at this point.
Sarah walked down the aisle with her father and lots of happy tears flowed from all present. The registrar was excellent; giving enough guidance to allow Jonny and Sarah to share their promises with each other whilst giving them enough space to be themselves.

Partytime!
When capturing Oxleaze wedding photography and film, the afternoon reception and dancefloor are really important.
Jonny & Sarah’s wedding did not disappoint – lots of fun and laughter ensued in the courtyard at Oxleaze during the afternoon, the speeches were as heartfelt and honest as I’ve ever witnessed and the dancefloor was something else!
Both Sarah’s sister and Sarah took to the stage to perform and the guests responded accordingly as you can see from the images! Sarah & Jonny booked me until 10pm so that much more of the dancefloor could be captured. So much so that I had to make a separate film of just the party!
A really perfect day for two very lovely people.
Oxleaze Barn Photography and Film Review
‘I’m sure this isn’t the first time nor will it be the last that couples have been absolutely overjoyed with their photos/videos – however we really are absolutely over the moon with them.
Just like you advised we cracked open one of our wedding fizzes (I couldn’t enjoy it on the actual day to be honest because I was a bag of nerves), ordered pizza and watched it on slideshow…
Honestly one of the best evenings since the wedding and I really felt taken back to that day – which obviously made me feel extremely emotional!!
Weddings are obviously extremely expensive and a lot of the time you do question whether spending so much is ever that worth it for one big blow out of a party – but you were worth every single penny. Thank you so much for capturing our special day so well.
I cannot thank you enough for the quality of the photos as my parents are going to South Korea (they’re flying out today actually) with the wedding photos and I’m so excited and grateful that my extended family will also be able to enjoy them as much as we have.
