Merriscourt Wedding Photography
Holly & Ed were married at the beautiful Merriscourt, a sprawling, hidden gem of a venue in the Oxfordshire countryside. One of the benefits of hiring a venue for exclusive use is that the bride and groom can get ready together onsite. Holly & Ed did just that. Holly with her bridesmaids and Victoria Abbosh on make-up duty while Ed arrived a little later for buttonholes and tie attaching.
I captured more candid images during this part of the day – and the drinks reception – than any other wedding this year. The morning was full of life and movement. It might have had something to do with the number of bridesmaids and groomsmen I imagine!
Merriscourt Wedding Photography Review
Thank you so much for being so wonderful – our photos are simply perfect!
From the moment we met you, months ahead of the wedding, you made us noth feel so relaxed and comfortable and we couldn’t stop chatting. We’re so happy we found you. Your style of photography is absolutely spot on, capturing all the fun and colour of the day and never missing a moment.
You’ve got such a skill in capturing people and bringing their character to life with a sense of humour too. We’e quite literally not stopped looking at our images! It#s been a joy sharing all our images with friends and family and we’ve received so many compliments. We’ll be sure to keep recommending you to others. Our album arrived recently and we’re over the moon with it – what a perfct memento of our most special day.
Holly & Ed
The ceremony in the main barn was very intimate, full of smiles and arms in the air. Holly & Ed walked back down the aisle looking like the happiest people in the world straight into a barrage of celebratory confetti! With over 100 guests, there was lots of opportunity to capture the fun and excitement before some super relaxed groups shots.
Once of Merriscourt’s best features is its immense grounds. Acres of fields and interesting buildings meant the couple portraits were hugely enjoyable – I mean, check out those grain silos! There was time at sunset too for a few shots of Holly and her bridesmaids squad before the cake cutting and the first dance.
