From Las Vegas to Lodge Park wedding photography

Becky and Chris were married in Las Vegas a year before their UK wedding celebrations at Lodge Park. Surely the perfect way to spend the day of your wedding anniversary! As Becky and Chris wrote on their wedding website, this grade-I listed wedding venue was built in the 1630s and originally used as a grandstand and deer course for the surrounding Sherborne Estate and is now owned by the National Trust.

It’s no secret it was also the venue where I photographed my first wedding, 10 years prior.

Becky prepared for the celebrations at The Queen’s Hotel in Cheltenham with her mum and bridesmaids (although they were mostly at the bar! ;-)) before heading out of Cheltenham along the A40 to Lodge Park. On arrival, all guests were seated outside the beautifully imposing structure and Chris was stood with his brothers ready to meet Becky.

Outfit changes

After a very lovely ceremony, the wedding party headed bar-wards and I took the opportunity to capture a few pictures of Becky and Chris in their ‘Western’ dress. There were to be two more outfit changes! Before they headed into their amazingly decorated wedding breakfast room, Becky and Chris changed into their traditional Chinese clothes before a final change throwing it back to the 1920’s for the evening!

It would have been rude of us not to do some Kung Fu in the field behind the venue and even ruder for Becky not to launch her bouquet off the balcony to her expectant friends waiting below!

Lodge Park wedding photography review

He is a talented photographer who can be seen lurking behind the bushes (in a good way) to get the most incredible natural as well as posed shots.
