‘When your wedding guests repeatedly tell you on the day how great it must be having your friend as your photographer, that’s a pretty good sign right?! Because that is how Marcus works. He was so chilled, relaxed and fun! He seemed to absolutely love his job. There was no stuffy bossing around for group portraits, we never once felt on the spot or awkward around the camera. And for me, someone that is a massive control freak and obsessed with getting good pictures, I quickly realised on the day we were in very safe hands and I trusted him with every shot he was taking.
We were really keen to have fun, relaxed, ‘snapshot’ photos and that’s exactly what we got! The photos were stunning, we have about 12 absolute favourite shots of the day in the end. Friends and family can’t believe the quality of the photos either. I am so lucky we met Marcus and that he was there to be a part of our day. He’s a great guy and good laugh (dad jokes included) and our wedding day was all the brighter for having him there. Thanks for everything Marcus! xxx’ Rosie & Harry
A Summer Great Tythe Barn Wedding – After following Rosie & Harry on Instagram in the build up to their wedding, I knew the day would be awesome but I didn’t know quite how great these two would be to work with. Super lovely, totally relaxed and oozing warmth and love towards everyone around them. I can guarantee Harry has a big smile on his face right now reading this! Any man that can reference Neil Armstrong in his wedding speech should be happy with himself!
I met Rosie and her bridesmaids to photograph their morning preparations before heading to meet a slightly nervous but very excited Harry at GTB. The venue looked epic: summer sun, gardens perfectly manicured, Rosie’s amazing artwork everywhere (check out Rosie’s illustrations page!), outdoor ceremony set up and ready, lots of eager guests arriving. It wasn’t long before Rosie arrived looking incredible and headed to meet Harry in the gardens. The ceremony was very relaxed and intimate. There was obviously a lot of love from the guests seated as Rosie and Harry said their vows. Epic amounts of confetti rained from the sky soon after and Rosie and Harry enjoyed their drinks reception in the grounds of the barn.
After a few portraits, it was dinnertime before Rosie grabbed the mic and took to the floor. Not for singing however, but her speech. The songs did follow later in the speeches though…from her father and bridesmaids! The evening reception started with drinks and limbo on the lawn before Rosie and Harry set the party off with their first dance. Rosie & Harry you were a dream to photograph, thanks again for choosing me…enjoy your blogpost!
