Even before seeing the photos we wanted to thank you so much for everything on the day. You made being in front of a camera feel so natural, and we loved how you built a rapport with every person in our wedding party. So many people have told us how much they enjoyed your presence and chatting to you, and we both loved getting to know you. You calmed us both before the ceremony, managed to coordinate the group photos somehow in both a controlled yet easygoing manner, and gave us really special memories of our time just the two of us taking photos.
We have taken a quick look at the photos in between work (we just couldn’t wait!!) and they are better than we could have ever dreamed of. The colours, warmth, and happiness you have captured is incredible. We’re now going to do as you suggested and have a proper look with some fizz and leftover wedding cake! Thank you so much again, we are so grateful for the way you have captured our special day.
Lucy & Aidan
Elmore Court Wedding Photography – Elmore Court is a gem of a wedding venue tucked away in the Gloucestershire countryside, by the River Severn. Lucy & Aidan were married in November and Elmore still looked beautiful in the winter. The way the grounds have developed over the last few years means there are so many epic places for couple shots. The morning was spent in the coach house building for Lucy and in the main house for Aidan, both getting ready apart from each other. Lauren Gosling and Margot & Lace were in charge of beautifying. Prior to the ceremony, Lucy and her bridesmaids moved up to a room in the main house – the main benefit of this seemed to be lots of sneaky looks through window at the guests arriving! Both Lucy & Aidan looked amazing as the ceremony started, complemented by the choice of colours in the florals (epic job Amber Persia!) and the bridesmaids dresses.
The ceremony was beautiful – the right amount of fun and formal with the obligatory happy tears from the mother of the bride. Confetti soon followed after Lucy & Aidan exited their ceremony and the afternoon reception both inside and outside of the main house. There was of course time for a few couple shots as the guests moved over to The Gillyflower for dinner and speeches. The speeches – as anyone who reads the blog regularly will know – are my favourite part. It was so lovely to hear all about Lucy & Aidan and to see and capture the guests reactions. The Gillyflower really lends itself to speech pictures as there is plenty of space to move around. There’s lots of time for shots of guests moving and chatting during dinner too.
A highlight of weddings at Elmore is when the curtain comes back to reveal the bride and groom doing their first dance. It wasn’t long before lots of the guests joined in and Dukebox Discos led the party into the evening.
