Capturing Matara Centre wedding photography and videography is a dream – you just need a sturdy pair of shoes as the gardens are huge!
If you visit Matara, visit every corner. You can’t miss the beautiful cloistered courtyard where the ceremonies take place in all weather, the Hilarium where your wedding breakfast and dancing normally happens and of course the gardens.
The gardens are special. Geoffrey, the owner, has poured his heart and soul into the venue over the many years to create a beautifully spiritual place. Think Tori arches, calming woodland streams and acres of grass fields. The woodland path leads perfectly through the grounds to Kingscote Church where you have the choice of holding your wedding ceremony.

On your wedding day, I arrive a few hours before the ceremony to capture the excitement in the bridal suite or off site if you have chosen that option. I’ll liaise as necessary with the registrars to ensure your ceremony goes like clockwork and you can get started with the partying!

Matara is amazing throughout all seasons: Geoffrey invited me previously to capture Matara in every season and it was such a fun project. You’d think Autumn would be my favourite but it was actually Winter. Seeing the trees and bushes full of berries and buds ready for the upcoming Spring was beautiful, knowing what was to come.
There are so many things I’ve loved about being able to capture Matara Centre wedding photography over the years: tree planting with couples in the grounds, Geoffrey leading a blessing in his role as celebrant and watching Kate Nash do her thing with her wedding band!

The onsite accommodation is perfect. The main house is available if you have a large wedding party, there are smaller rooms on site and Hunter’s Hall across the road if you’d like to spread out a bit. I’m with you every step of the way ensuring you day is captured in a relaxed way without missing any of the special moments.
