”A flawless experience with Marcus. We knew when we met him at the venue ahead of the wedding, that we had made the right choice. The photos were perfect and completely reflected the preferences we’d discussed beforehand together with some wonderful creative choices we would never have thought of.
He wasn’t an overbearing presence on the day as you worry a wedding photographer might be, but he certainly wasn’t a pushover either. He was extremely professional and had great rapport with ourselves and our guests. Friends of our actually chose him to be their photographer the following year.” Lizzie and Gary
Woburn Safari Park Wedding Photography – I could probably write this blogpost in one sentence. Lizzie and Gary got married in a cinema and held their reception in a Safari Park – amazing! However I do think I need to write a little more. If that’s whet your appetite though, feel free to head to the pictures below.
So, when I say cinema, Errol Flynn Filmhouse is a small cinema in Northhampton, offering both arthouse and mainstream films and now…weddings! After spending the morning photographing Lizzie getting ready with her mum and bridesmaids, I headed to meet Gary, who was hanging out with Errol. The ceremony was incredible. the wedding itself was held in front of the main screen, with the guests all seated in the cinema. It was preceded by two videos – as showing of LAVA by Pixar and a homemade film by Gary of pictures of friends who are getting married soon.
After the ceremony, Gary and Lizzie left the cinema through a confetti aisle. Whilst the text on the cinema read ‘The Wedding’ upon arrival, it now read ‘Just Married’ as they left. There was just enough time for a few portraits by the cedar wood cladding of the cinema and the strike of a favourite film pose…before a dash to Woburn. We made a short stop off on the way in some beautiful woodland for a few more portraits before Gary and Lizzie entered their reception to the theme tune to Men in Black! Following the speeches, there was enough time for photos with an elephant, a tiger – sort of – and a couple of trips around the lake on a pedalo before the dancing begun.
