I'm Marcus - a creative, documentary Gloucestershire wedding photographer based in Cheltenham.
I am a proud father to two amazing boys, Tom and Ben and husband to the equally lovely Danielle. When I'm not photographing weddings in the Cotswolds, it's family time and the adventures this brings. Travel and adventure outdoors tends to feature highly. You'll also find me in the vegetable garden or with a snooker cue in hand although usually not at the same time!
I've enjoyed taking pictures for as long as I can remember, mostly of people and there is something quite wonderful about capturing real moments and human emotions that can only be achieved from photographing weddings.
I offer an unobtrusive, relaxed approach enabling you to enjoy your day while I focus on capturing true emotions as your wedding day unfolds.
Put simply, my aim is to tell your best story. The one you've always imagined. The one you will revisit again and again. I'm always enthusiastic and will spend your wedding day seeking out the life, emotion, colour and fun.
Prior to your wedding, I am on hand to offer advice if you need it. I work with you from your initial enquiry until the delivery of your album and often beyond this ensuring you get a service personal to you. On your wedding day, I'll be with you from 2-3 hours before your ceremony, capturing the excitement as you prepare for your day. I'll capture the emotion discretely along with the details, the little things that you have worked so hard to make perfect. Documentary wedding photography makes up a large part of my day.
I'll capture your guests enjoying themselves and fit around you rather than you working around me. Blending in enables me to anticipate what's about to happen. As the day progresses, I'll sometimes be shooting close by, sometimes further away. You won't have to worry about me interrupting your day though. We will have discussed what's happening when beforehand so I'll know where I need to be.
During your ceremony, I'll be discrete but I will still capture the important moments as you get married. Of course, we'll also have some time for some couple shots of just the two of you away from your guests. This is often time for you to relax too and take in the day so far.
Once the wedding breakfast has been eaten and the speeches spoken, I stay until your first dance but if there is moving and shaking going on, I'll be sure to stick around a little longer...no-one can resist a bit of air guitar!
