Matara Wedding Photographer -Tom and Lou’s wedding day was gorgeous. They chose The Matara Centre near Tetbury in Gloucestershire for their wedding day. It’s hard to describe Matara without using superlatives – beautiful grasslands, many stunning varied indoor spaces and it’s so colourful! Louise got ready with her bridesmaids and mum in the bridal room in the main house – with the amazing Victoria Abbosh in charge of beautifying – while Tom was free to use the rest of the house. It was incredible to capture Tom and his chaps digging a hole then planting their tree in the morning which was to be dedicated later in the day. A real family team effort to secure its place in the earth.
Louise walked through the woodland at Matara to the Church of St John the Baptist in Kingscote where Tom was waiting inside the Church. After a beautiful ceremony, Tom and Louise left the Church and headed back to where their tree was planted earlier in the day. A dedication ceremony was carried out by Geoffrey who owns Matara. I’m guessing he used some really lovely words but it being a year ago I can’t remember! Tom had a little assistance watering the tree as you can see. After the dedication, Tom and Louise’s wedding guests tied colourful ribbons to their tree and everyone moved towards the main house for drinks.
The overarching feeling of Tom and Louise’s big day was how relaxed it was. They are two of the nicest people you’ll meet and their day and guests reflected this. Guests were free to wander and explore as they wished which meant I got to snap away while they enjoyed themselves! Of course, I made sure I stole Louise and Tom for a few pictures around the grounds of Matara before they headed into their reception. Speeches followed before everyone nipped outside for a little early evening confetti before the party started!
