Wedding Photography at Elmore Court – Louise and Sebastian were married in April 2018 amongst the blossom of Elmore Court, a beautifully grand wedding venue in Gloucestershire. A fusion of English and Danish, the wedding guests descended on this special little place in the Cotswolds, bringing with them sweet treats and a few special traditions. I met Louise on the morning of the wedding in the newly refurbished Coach House where Harriet Cook Make-up was in charge of beautifying. Sebastian arrived soon after looking suitably dapper and set about greeting his guests.
The Humanist ceremony, led by Mike Reynolds was lovely, after which Louise and Sebastian were showered in lots of confetti…obviously not enough though as they turned around when they got to the end of the aisle and ran back! Elmore very much lends itself to the wedding breakfast and party with the amazing Gillyflower (image at the end of the post) but the gardens are also the perfect space to hang out and have a few drinks after the ceremony. There was of course some time for portraits amongst the grounds and in the copper bath…
There was lots of traditional ‘Danishness’ during the beautifully styled geometric wedding breakfast – mostly involving kissing. Firstly when the guests banged on the tables, the bride and groom kissed stood on their chairs. Next, the guests stamped their feet, so Louise and Sebastian headed under the tables for a smooch. Finally, when either the bride or groom left the room, the entire rest of the male or female guests lined up to give either the bride or groom who was still in the room…a kiss! I’ve explained that, just in case you wondered what on earth was happening below.
Heartfelt and sincere speeches followed before the party really started with a choreographed first dance. We even managed a little night photography outside in the glade in the evening.
