Wheelchair engagement photography – Nicky and David are two of the loveliest people I have ever met. Warm, generous and with a sense of humour that very closely matches mine…I can’t help but like them. Nicky first contacted me back in December last year and after I’d met them, I was so pleased they booked me to be their photographer. Their story is an interesting one and at times a challenging one – you can read about it here – but their resilience and sense of adventure will lead them to become husband and wife in October – now that is exciting!
For their pre-shoot we headed to David’s sailing club to get warmed up before popping into Cirencester for what is best described as a bit of an explore. The main purpose of the engagement shoot was to see what worked. We knew we’d have limited time of their wedding day for portraits so this was essential. I was determined to approach the photography exactly as I normally would. David and Nicky relaxed quickly – you can see the results below. The shoot was filmed for ITV for Extraordinary Weddings which added pressure but looked great on screen once televised!
