Ellenborough Park Wedding Photographer -I first met Erik and Sabrina for their engagement shoot a few months ahead of their Ellenborough Park wedding when they popped over with their daughter from Norway to Cheltenham to finish preparing for the big day. The weather was amazing and we had a lot of fun. Fast forward to the wedding day and the weather had obviously not got the memo… Stair-rods was the best way to describe it but Erik and Sabrina were amazing and didn’t allow the rain to stop play. They were rewarded with sunshine as they left the ceremony room to a ribbon aisle and it turned into a beautiful afternoon.
As Erik and Sabrina – and all of their guests – were Norwegian, I had no idea what anyone was saying for most of the day, including the speeches which I was assured were amazing. Luckily, everyone’s English was excellent! As tradition dictates, Erik and Sabrina had a speech after every course of their wedding breakfast. As always, there was plenty of time for portraits and to explore the amazing grounds. I am very lucky that so many of the venues I photograph weddings at, are truly beautiful and Ellenborough is no exception, even when it’s wet. It was a wonderful day and a pleasure to be invited to be part of it.
The last few words of course need to go to Sabrina and Erik – thank you again for being so kind!
During my entire life I’ve had a really bad habit – I talk way too much! If you’d have had Google translate available during the speeches at our wedding, you’d understand how bad it actually is. Although I always seem to find some words to say, I was totally speechless yesterday having looked through the images from our day.
A day that went by just as quick as any other, but a day that was a million times more special. Marcus, you haven’t only given us indescribably stunning pictures from our unforgettable day. You have given us a way of experiencing it over and over again for as long as we both shall live. Experiencing every single emotion, the excitement, the nervousness, the tears, the laughter, the joy, the fun, the love and the feeling of crazily heavy rain making feet wet, hair messy and hopefully giving us some very good luck along the way. As if we could ever forget that!
It was absolutely great having you there with us all day, for not only are you the greatest photographer ever (I have 40 other Norwegians to back me up on that!) you’re also truly a wonderful person who made us feel so comfortable. Our entire entourage of Norwegians felt the same way we did.
We are forever grateful.”
Sabrina and Erik.
