Brinsop Court Wedding Photography – Katy and Will’s Brinsop Court wedding day was always going to be a lot of fun. Two couples who both had amazing weddings were in attendance, one being Will’s sister whose wedding I photographed last year. Weddings where I’m recommended by family members are my favourite sort. This was a new venue for me which looked at its best for the big day.
I spent the morning photographing Katy’s wedding day preparations, sneaking in to catch Will writing his speech and capturing friends and family helping to decorate the venue. Katy had worked incredibly hard on styling the banqueting hall, hanging coloured, flower covered bicycle wheels from the rafters and mirroring the theme amongst the bike themed table names. Just when I thought I’d captured all of the detail, something else would catch my eye. The birds of paradise against the coloured banqueting room walls looked particularly striking.
Outside, the grounds looked immaculate, with the bicycle theme continued into the courtyard where the ceremony was held and where Katy met Will, entering from the library and returning there to complete the legal parts of the ceremony. What followed can only be described as shower of confetti from some very enthusiastic guests!
Brinsop Court’s courtyard is perfect for a drinks reception. I very much enjoyed capturing the guests enjoying themselves before I headed off with Katy and Will for a few pictures. Now when I say Brinsop is massive, I mean it. The house is moated with many photogenic aspects and an attached woodland with open fields beyond. We had plenty of time for portraits as can be seen below and even found time to pop out again in the evening to catch the last of the day’s light before the party started. the last words go to the happy couple!
”Believe it or not, I actually arranged my wedding date and venue based on Marcus’s availability. He is the best there is and is well worth every penny. I knew several people who had Marcus photograph their weddings and had seen the results, so knew he was the one to do it for us. Once he was booked in (book well ahead as he is very much in demand), the rest fell into place, and we ended up with the most wonderful, personal collection of wedding photos we could have hoped for. Marcus captured so many priceless little moments and did it in his fresh, contemporary style.
The rapport you have with your wedding photographer is so important and besides being a great photographer, what Marcus does so well is to put you at ease.
Having an engagement shoot helps a lot with this too. My husband and I both feel incredibly awkward in front of a camera, but with Marcus’s easy, relaxed, professional manner, no-one looking at our photos would ever know! He made the whole experience a lot of fun and I can’t recommend him highly enough!”
