Caswell House wedding photography – Caswell House is a beautiful venue. Along with acres of gardens outside including the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding, inside is a series of large stone rooms which can be used for both the ceremony and reception. I met Lisa at Caswell House on the morning of her wedding to capture the build up to the day. There were a few tears, some very helpful bridesmaids and a bit of booze. As it should be! Most importantly the sun was blazing which considering it was September and it was bucketing it down when we visited for a recce a few months before, was a blessing.
The outdoor ceremony among the lavender at Caswell was amazing. Lisa had quite a walk to get to Olly at the top of the aisle where she was greeted by a very relaxed Olly. As is the legal requirement on our little island, Lisa and Olly said their vows under the cover of the Loggia with their witnesses before stepping back out for their first kiss and their walk back down the aisle.
As you can see from the images, the drinks reception spilled out of the barn onto the lawn enabling the adults to head to the bar, the kids to run around on the lawns and the happy couple and myself to nip off for a few pictures. The whole day was super relaxed which was a testament to Lisa and Olly’s superb organisational skills! As you would expect with an Italian/Irish wedding, there were a few traditions throughout the day that snuck in. My favourite by far was the ‘wrapping’ during the first dance which resulted in lots of laughter and lots of streamers left on the dancefloor for the kids to play with.
A big thanks also to Kayleigh Adams Photography for helping out on the day.
