There really is something about Pittville Pump Rooms in Cheltenham that encourages particularly stylish couples to get get married there. Recently I photographed Karen and Ben’s wedding here (featured in the December 2012 edition of Wedding Ideas Magazine) and now Laura and Andrew have tied the knot at this stunning Grade 1 listed building dating from 1825. It was my first Wednesday wedding which was also particularly exciting – and 4 years since the happy couple became an item!
Laura and Andrew decided on a small and very intimate wedding day, choosing to get married on the Gallery at the Pump Rooms with original features surrounding them and the stunning dome above. Only close family were present to witness the marriage, watching from the opposite side of the gallery.
Now I mentioned the style before…checkout those shoes! I don’t know many brides that would be able to rock a pair of sparkly red Vivienne Westwood heels with a wedding dress, but Laura exuded glamour! The family involvement didn’t stop at being guests at the wedding, Laura’s mum created the stunning handmade bouquet, using lace from her own wedding dress and her dad wore the same tie he wore at his own wedding. The buttonholes were also created individually by Laura’s mum, as was the cake.
Andrew looked dashingly handsome in his suit, sporting the most technically advanced cufflinks I think I have ever seen, featuring QR Codes with details about the couples day.
After the wedding, a few group shots and a glass of something sparkly, the wedding party departed for afternoon tea, but not before I’d captured a few more personal images with Laura and Andrew around Pittville…including a few more of those gorgeous sparkly shoes!
