Old Down Manor wedding photography – Hannah and Simon chose the beautiful Old Down Manor as their wedding venue, a 150 year old manor house set in 66 acres of parkland and previously owned by the musician Mike Oldfield.
Whilst the ceremony and reception centred around the main building, we were able to make use of the extensive grounds for a few pictures including heading into the areas that are open to the public as park of Old Down Estate, in the evening as the light got awesome. This may have included shots of the bride and groom with a big red Christmas gorilla, on a zip slide and a by big yellow bus… The rain decided to make a bit of a flying visit but thankfully mostly in the morning and the severn estuary maintained its position on the horizon.
Hannah and Simon’s wedding was without doubt one of my most emotional this year so far. I’m not sure there were many guests not crying happy tears by the end of the speeches. The whole day looked great too with some lovely styling by Hannah including lavendar plants in biodegradable pots as favours and a table plan based around the couples first few dates…oh and three cakes for cutting!
