Rebecca and Paul’s Wedding

What a fabulous day! Rebecca and Paul were married at Dumbleton Hall in Gloucestershire, near to Winchcombe, in the early afternoon. It reminded once again me how lucky I am to do what I do, spending the day with happy people on their special day. Ok, soppy bit over! A selection of images from the day follow this post.

The weather was a little unsure of itself in the morning, but the rain held off all day which is always good. I arrived at the Hall at 11am to photograph Rebecca and her bridesmaids getting ready, get some shots of the imposing but beautiful building that is Dumbleton and capture the guests arriving. After a couple of hours, Paul arrived driving a friends Porsche and beaming from ear to ear – to be honest, I heard the arrival before I saw it!

The wedding itself was lovely, with Paul and Rebecca’s son holding the rings and handing them over brilliantly when required. After the wedding, everyone headed outside for the group shot, then Rebecca, Paul and I spent a little time shooting at the lovely old arch in the grounds, where the snowdrops had decided to very kindly put in a spectacular appearance which was a nice surprise.

One of the most enjoyable parts of my day, was capturing Paul and Rebecca’s two children who spent most of the day either hiding behind people and objects as I approached or diving in front of people brandishing magic wands, turning me into all manner of creatures!

Paul and Rebecca spent a while mingling and chatting to guests while I captured the goings on around and about the venue, before dinner was served, followed by the speeches and the first dance – during which the Bride and Groom were covered in disco lights creating lovely patterns which were great to photograph.
